Dime is a platform defined primarily for In-line transactions for Microsoft 365. With an expanding SKU assortment, new target audiences, regulatory requirements, new offer requirements, and an ever increasing need to ease engineering efficiency, the M365 team invested in redesigning the Dime SKU Chooser. I was asked alongside the Microsoft design team to help develop a series of illustrations in a completely updated style to accompany the Dime SKU Chooser rebrand.
Sketches & Concepts
The sketching process is highly collaborative and metaphor-driven. Initial sketches are always done in grayscale and 2D to ensure that the metaphor conveys without relying on color. I contributed to the conceptualizing and construction of these 2D sketches and in close collaboration, passed the approved sketches to the 3D design team who finalized the designs by adding texture, color, and depth.
